The Musiciens Libres duo was founded in 2011 by harpist Anastasia Razvalyaeva and guitarist Miklós Környei. Their concert programs are thematically curated and feature not only original compositions for harp and guitar but also their own transcriptions. Both artists graduated from the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music and have been recognized for their artistic achievements with the Junior Prima Award and the Fischer Annie Scholarship. In 2014, they won second prize at the 4th Spanish International Chamber Music Competition in Madrid and third prize at the 4th Suoni D’Arpa International Chamber Music Competition in Briosco. In 2015, they received a special award at the 7th Svirél International Competition and Festival in Slovenia, which led to an invitation to perform in the 2015/2016 season of the Ljubljana Festival. Their artistic development has been supported by renowned teachers and musicians, including József Eötvös, Balázs Fülei, Zoltán Füzesséry, and Sándor Szilvágyi. The duo has performed at the Károlyi Palace in Budapest (Petőfi Literary Museum), the Üvegterem of the Palace of Arts, Eötvös10 Cultural Centre, Móra Ferenc Museum in Szeged, the Apostolos Hall in Pécs, Valley of Arts Festival, as well as in numerous other cities across Hungary. Their debut album, featuring works by De Falla, Granados, Rodrigo, Albéniz, Boccherini, and Scarlatti, was recorded in July 2014 at the AVISO Studio of the Liszt Academy. The duo performed together with cimbalom player, András Szalai the world premiere of Bálint Karosi’s Triple Concerto (2015) and also took part in the 2019 Hungaroton recording of the piece, which features the Anima Musicae Chamber Orchestra, András Szalai, the wind players of
Musiciens Libres, and Balázs Horváth.
